We have over 3,000 choices of fabrics to suit each and every model. You choose what shape and design you desire and we will tailor any of our large range of models to your requirements.
Made in Ireland
Each Finline piece is designed by us, handmade in our factory by skilled Irish craftsmen and women. We employ 50 people, most of whom have been with us for over 20 years. Indirectly we help to employ a further 40 Irish Jobs through intermediaries, suppliers and third parties.
Bespoke
Your Sofa, Your Way – Because we make each piece at our factory, we can custom make every piece. If you want your sofa longer, higher, firmer, softer, different colour legs – the choices are endless and our helpful staff will aid you through every important decision.
Pattern & Stripe Matching
If you choose a large pattern, stripe or a medallion fabric we will match, where possible, the pattern on the back cushion, seat cushion and front border. This results in Finline using far more fabric in construction but results in a far better looking sofa or chair. Many manufacturers will not go to such a level of detail when producing their sofas. Symmetry is very important at Finline and our fabric cutters and upholsterers have years of experience pattern and stripe matching.

We have been building and perfecting the craft of sofa making for 43 years. We have furnished 1000’s of houses during this time and there is very little we haven’t encountered. We love a challenge so please don’t hesitate to ask our staff any questions regarding our products.
20 Year Frame Guarantee
We are so confident in the durability of our frames and springs that we offer a 20 Year Frame & Construction Guarantee. Each frame is made from Kiln Dried Hardwood Beech, this will ensure that your frame will withstand the test of time. We have re-upholstered hundreds of our older frames over the years. Our frames are the most durable and robust on the market today.
Re-Upholstery & Recovery Service
If you get tired of your fabric cover in 5, 10 or 20 years time, take a photograph and send it to us (info@finlinefurniture.ie) and we will revert giving you a “special Finline recovery price”. We can recover most old Suites.
Brass Plate
Every Finline Sofa & Chair comes with a unique brass plate with the Finline Logo. Our foreman meticulously checks every single piece before attaching our Brass Plated Label.

Each component that is used in your Finline suite has been trialed and tested to ensure for durability and robustness, from our frame, to the foams and fibres we use in our seat cushions. Quality is at the heart of everything we do at Finline.
Our team’s been making furniture since 1979 – over 40 years. We use only the finest materials that are tested to meet our high standards. All of our sofas & chairs come with a 20 Year Frame and Construction Guarantee.
All of our sofas, chairs and headboards are made in Ireland in our factory in Emo, Co. Laois.

We use Kiln dried beech in our frames and all of our timber is FSC certified meaning it comes from responsibly managed forests providing environmental and social benefits.

Most of our furniture comes with very high grade foam in the seat. For this you have the option of Medium (most popular) Soft or Firm Fill. We do offer a feather quilting option for an extra charge.
Yes, All of our sofas come with several options for the legs. Please bear in mind they can only be changed for legs which are the same height as the original.

Pricing – How It Works
Any fabric can be put on any sofa, chair, or corner sofa design. The choice of fabric determines the cost of each piece. Our fabrics fall into 4 main price brackets starting at Bronze Collection, then Silver Collection, Gold Collection, and our most exclusive being our Platinum Collection & then a Platinum+ Collection.
We recommend coming to our showrooms, in Dublin, Cork, Laois, or Galway, to see this exclusive offering in person as nothing beats seeing and touching the fabrics in person.
Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum are nothing to do with the colour of the fabrics! It is our pricing tier structure. For example Bronze is our entry level price- but don’t let this fool you- the fabric in this range is still as durable and hardworking as the rest of our ranges!
Fabrics
On Screen fabrics will always look different to the colour and texture of the real thing. If you receive a swatch from us it will be the correct colour and texture, however as fabric dying is a process there can be the slightest variations in tone from one output of a fabric to the next. This is often un-noticible but worth bearing in mind.
Yes! You can use your own fabrics. These would be priced the same as our bronze fabrics.

Some of our fabrics are treated but it’s best to go for paler colours if you have concerns about sun bleaching or avoid placing the piece in direct sunlight.
Before You Buy
The simplest answer to this is whichever is closest to you! If you have a particular sofa in mind to come and see please call ahead and make sure it’s in your closest showroom. Also check opening hours as they differ for our different showrooms.
If you have measured up and chosen your sofa and you still have concerns about it fitting our sales representatives will be happy to help you! You will need to email in the written dimensions and preferably a video of the journey the sofa will be taking and we can tell you what we can do for you!
Because all of the furniture is handmade here in Ireland we have the option to affix arms in situ.
Bring the measurements of your room into one of our showrooms and our sales staff will be happy to help. Please include any radiators, fireplaces, doorways etc.
Once your sofa has been made, our quality control team will inspect it and sign it off ready for delivery. We outsource our deliveries to two experienced courier companies. We have worked closely with both companies for many years and guarantee they both provide an excellent and efficient service. We deliver Nationwide, and delivery charges range between €60 and €150 depending on location.
The courier company will deliver your furniture at a time that is convenient for you. Every piece of furniture is placed in the room of your choice and packaging taken away to be recycled.As they are a third party any furniture must be paid in full before it is delivered.
When you make your order you will be given a lead time by your sales representative. As everything is handmade to order this leadtime varies based on how busy we are, availability of fabrics and raw materials from our suppliers.
Yes, however you have a 7 day period in which you can change your mind once you have made your order.
We use feather fill in our scatter cushions by default but you can order fibre filled if you have an allergy to feathers.
Payment
We accept Cash, Bank transfer, all major credit cards, Finline Vouchers & All 4 One Vouchers.
We also accept finance by Humm- see below.
You pay 50% of the full cost of your order upfront and 50% prior to it leaving the factory once it has been made.

Finance
When Your Sofa Arrives
No. Our sofas are fully assembled before they are shipped to you. The only exception is some long legged sofas can ship with travel legs which screw off and the correct legs will screw in place. This is done to avoid damage while in transit.
On occasion we can offer detachable arms in situations where they are too big to get into a room- this will be discussed in advanced and all of our delivery men are trained in how to do this so they will assemble in situ.

Our top grade Foam can sometimes have air pockets which makes it feel stiffer than our showroom models. These will go over time but you can take off the cushions and do a little jig on them to speed it up! They don’t continually get softer once these pockets are removed.
We do have some loose fabric sofas with machine washable fabrics which we advise washing at 30degrees.
While some of our fabrics have protection built into them we do not offer to do this on fabrics that do not. There are third parties who can do this for you once you have your sofa.
