Choose how the seams sit
The seam is a small detail with a big effect on how a cushion reads. Here is how each of our finishes differs.
Self seamed
A plain, flat seam, quiet and tailored, and the most versatile finish across fabrics.
Self piped
A fine rope of the same fabric runs along the seam, giving a crisper, more defined edge.
Contrast piped
Piping in a second fabric or colour, for a cushion that picks out another tone in the room.
Half and half
Two fabrics, split across the cushion front, a simple way to pair a pattern with a plain.
Cord
A thicker, twisted trim for extra texture. Not every fabric takes this finish well.
Ruche
A gathered, ruffled edge for a softer, more traditional cushion. Best suited to lighter fabrics.
Cord and ruche are not suited to every fabric. Our showroom team will help you choose a finish that works well with the fabric you pick.
