Home Interior Trends

April 25, 2018

If you’re looking to revamp or even just freshen up your house, look no further!

Here at Finline we have put together all the main interior trends for this year into one place.

Greenery

Expect to see a whole lot more green this year; The pantone ‘colour of the year’ was named ‘Greenery’. You can add subtle touches of green, like plants, cushions or throws to your space or go bold with wallpapers, paint or large sofas. Velvet fabrics in an array of greens add some depth to a scheme by bringing in new textures.

Terracotta

Terracotta probably the most unexpected trend but they is something about terracotta pots, tiles and other decor items. The greenery and this trend go well together in a very modern way, matching the two trends can add depth and warmth to your home.

Faux Finishes

From rugs to throws, many years faux fur has being a constant interior trend, but 2018 is different. Faux is going doing a different path in a few more ways. Many are very budget friendly and even more reliable than the real deal, like faux marble, faux leather, faux foliage and even faux wooden beams.

Mixed patterns

During the fall/winter runway, mixed patterns influenced interiors in a big way. With big patterns, go big or go home! – The bigger and bolder statement your patterns are, the better.

Dark Furniture

With richer and darker tones, especially side tables, cabinets etc. dark furniture is can easily take primary focus over cool, clean white interiors.
