What is your interior design style?

I approach each project with a fresh perspective, always tailoring the design to reflect the client’s lifestyle and personality. Often, I’ll begin with one key element—be it a beautiful piece of furniture, a standout fabric, or a unique architectural detail—and build the overall scheme around it. For me, great design should always tell a story; it’s never a one-size-fits-all process.

What trends do you see coming next year / season?

There’s a clear move away from the cooler greys that dominated in past years. Warmer, more inviting tones like coffee, cream, and earthy burnt oranges are making a comeback. Textured neutrals, wallpaper, and bold murals are also gaining popularity—they bring personality and depth to a space. That said, I don’t follow trends religiously. I prefer to draw inspiration from them and filter in what genuinely suits both the client and the context.

What should people keep in mind when choosing a sofa?

There are three key things to think about:

Function – Is the sofa for lounging in a family room, impressing in a formal space, or enduring heavy use in a commercial setting? This will impact the style and fabric choice.

Layout – Don’t assume that a corner sofa is always the best solution. It’s vital to consider the room’s flow and how people will move around the space.

Practicality – Measure carefully and allow enough clearance around the piece. And always think about durability, especially if you have kids or pets.

Why do you work with Finline?

Finline offers exceptional craftsmanship and flexibility—which is invaluable from a designer’s perspective. Their pieces are beautifully made, and the custom sizing and fabric options make it easy to tailor furniture perfectly to the project. I also really value that clients can take home fabric samples to see them in their own lighting and setting. It makes the decision process feel a lot more grounded and confident.

Which other Irish Made Brands do you love working with?

Fleetwood Paints is a favourite—their range and quality have really elevated the Irish paint market. I’m also a big advocate for working with local joiners and upholsterers. Their skill and dedication bring a bespoke element to projects that you just can’t replicate with off-the-shelf solutions.

Who in the industry is giving you inspiration?

I’m constantly inspired by the work of Daniel Hopwood and Clare Le Roy, as well as design legends like Eileen Gray and Frank Lloyd Wright. I admire how they blend form, function, and a strong sense of individuality—something I always strive for in my own work.
