Here are tips to find your perfect one.
The size of your room
One of the most important things to remember when choosing a Finline headboard is the size of your bedroom. You may be able to fit a king size bed in your room, but if you have a tall headboard then your bedroom will look smaller immediately. However oversized headboards can create a bold and contemporary look thereby giving your bedroom a personality. All of Finline’s headboards measure 38” high but we can do bespoke sizes as necessary.
Style of your room
Contemporary or Traditional?
Deep buttoned headboards are back in fashion, Finline offer this option for our headboards. Deep buttoned can give a modern and luxurious comfortable look to your bedroom. We also offer four other styles of headboard. You can browse what we have to offer on our website or you can also visit one of our showrooms in Cork, Dublin or Laois.
Size of bed?
The size of the bed and the size of the headboard will generally be similar. We manufacture headboards with the majority of bed sizes in mind – 3ft, 4ft, 4ft6”, 5ft, 6ft and bigger if requested.
Finally, you need to think about fabric you would use for your headboard. Think about the style you want to achieve in the room. A traditional bedroom would look stunning with one of our linen fabrics whilst a luxurious bedroom would look stunning in a velvet fabrics perhaps. We have ranges of plush velvets, 100% wools, cotton, polyesters, viscose, checks, plaids, plains, stripes, patterns, geometrical designs and everything in between. The Finline fabric range caters for all tastes and interiors styles.
Thinking about matching your headboard with your curtains? Some customers look to tie in the headboard with some loose throw cushions. Others look to small occasional chairs like the Ashling Chair to pull the ideas and themes together. See pics below of one customer who added a deep buttoned footstool as a bed end to tie in with her oversized deep buttoned headboard. Another alternative to match with your headboard is a blanket box. These can be made to order by Finline to match your headboard.
